Frederique Constant presents the chronograph in the Highlife collection

Born in 1999,
Frederique Constant’s Highlife collection was relaunched in 2020.
And the addition of the chronograph to this flagship collection
was
highly anticipated.
It is a complication whose implementation requires greater technical expertise,
as well as being probably the most used.
Frederique Constant offers three different versions of the Highlife Chronograph Automatic
which feature the same 41 mm case made of stainless steel with alternating polished
and satin brushed finishes on the middle case,
profile and bezel.
Two buttons
are
also introduced,
at 2 and 4 o’clock, which trigger the start, stop and reset of the chronograph.
Their profile
has also been slightly inclined
by a few degrees to ensure
that they can integrate with the profile of the case.
Each version is equipped with a compax chronograph,
with the small seconds at 9 o’clock,
the 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and the 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock,
which contrasts with the signature of the Maison “Frédérique Constant,
Genève” at o’clock. 12.watch
Three hand-polished central hands complete the ensemble
: two luminescent hands for
hours and minutes and the central chronograph seconds hand.
Each model is
also equipped with a second complication useful
in everyday life
: the date, discreetly positioned in a window between 4 and 5 o’clock.
Its dial always features the engraving of the Earth in the center,
a symbol of its cosmopolitan character. The chronograph counters,
on the other hand, have an inward curved flange,
offering a direct and more precise reading of the chronograph indications.
The refined graduation of the flange,
on the other hand,
makes it possible to read the fifth of a second. As for the caseback,
the case is equipped with a sapphire crystal
that allows you to admire the FC-391 automatic movement
and its chronograph module,
in particular the column wheel located at 3 o’clock,
which the more expert connoisseurs will identify without difficulty.
Developed in collaboration with the La Joux-Perret Manufacture,
this caliber sports not only a remarkable modern construction,
but also finishes and quality of a high standard. Furthermore,
for each of these new references,
Frederique Constant has conceived an oscillating weight
in rose gold plated with Côtes de Genève
: a decoration dear to Frederique Constant because
it is located in Geneva.
This rotor allows you to wind the automatic movement,
cadenced at a frequency of 28 800 vibrations / hour,
which guarantees 60 hours of power reserve.replica hublot
Each piece has the “Highlife Chronograph” engraving
and water resistance is guaranteed up to 100 meters.
As I wrote at the beginning,
the new Highlife Chronograph Automatic comes in three decidedly
complementary versions.
The first, in steel,
is limited to 1888 pieces,
and is the only one
to be equipped with an additional strap
and bracelet.
It will thus be possible to alternate
between a navy blue calfskin strap
and completed with a nubuck finish,
a rubber strap of the same color
or a three-link bracelet in polished
and satin-finished steel.
Three different options that allow you to underline,
according to individual preferences, the white dial
or the counters and the blue flange of this rare model
of which each piece
will be individually numbered.
The second version is the only one to be two-tone,
alternating steel with plated rose gold
that decorates the central link of the bracelet,
the bezel, buttons, hands and indexes.
The delicate touches of rose gold
on the silver dial give this version charm
and dynamism,
showing the ability of the Highlife collection
to adapt to all contemporary lifestyles.
For a sportier look,
this edition will be complemented
by a brown rubber strap.
Finally, the third version plays the card of contrasts,
with a set of steel case and bracelet clearly recalled
by the black dial punctuated by steel indexes and hands.
The second black rubber strap underlines its sporty
and stealthy look even more.
